Hello!! I'm still not exactly sure how this whole new communication thing will work haha but I am SO HYPED about it!!! When we found out, we were all literally screaming and dancing down the halls and jumping up and down. I was so excited haha. I'll talk to you more about the guidelines and thoughts I have about the video calls that I'll share with you guys when I call. Cuz I know that this change could either be a stumbling block for some missionaries or a springboard to missionary work. It just depends on how missionaries and families use it - just like when missionaries first got Facebook or when we went to 2 hours of church haha. So I have some thoughts, I've been praying about how to use it as a missionary tool and how to be effective. I'm super excited to see what this brings though!! And I'm more than happy that I get to talk to you guys more haha so so so so so excited.
Also this is super embarrassing but I have a hard time remembering and I just want to be sure, can you send me a list of people's birthdays and your anniversary and other special occasions for which I should call or text? That way I can be sure I don't miss anything haha.
Maybe you should include a list of all those weird holidays so i can call all the time haha just kidding. But please send a list of all the important things! Thanks in advance!!
On Wednesday, we made brigaderios and delivered them to some families in the ward to thank them for what they have helped us with and also to share Romans 8:35-39 for Valentine's day. So it was crazy. Then we drove to kimball and spent time in that area with the shields and getting Kimball referrals. So that was good. Then we drove to Cheyenne to have a quick song practice and a sleep over with sister jeffords! Don't know if you remember her, but she's a Nauvoo sister too. Me, sis Johnson and sis Jeffords were the 3 who came to this mission. So it was super cool to see her and stuff!
Thursday was zone conference! It started our super tender because president McMurray explained that the reason sis McMurray wasn't there was because their little grandson Owen had passed away. Similar to david, he was born and only lived a couple days I think. President McMurray then bore powerful testimony of Christ's atonement and the plan of salvation. What a great guy.
The zone conference was focused on the gospel of christ, especially repentance. He made it super memorable because president McMurray dressed up as anti Nephi lehi and had us burry our weapons of rebellion! It was cool. I learned a lot. Not only that but I had the opportunity to bear testimony through song. Sister Ehlers (from my district) and I sang come follow me + i believe in christ. Someone has a video I think so I'll try to get that and send it to you. But it was super cool. I was worried because we only practiced a couple times but it turned out good (: I sang the decant for the last chorus of I believe in Christ so it was awesome. I also got picked to Role play with president McMurray about the book of mormon in front of everyone so that was nerve wracking! Plus bear my testimony because that might have been my last zone conference in this mission....
Anyways the rest of the day I spent with sister walker and sister tuunifu, we taught part of institute together and so it was awesome. They are super funny. We had quite an experience in the car though!!! I'm just glad we didn't get into a wreck haha it was crazy. But God protected us for sure. If you want I can tell you more about that when I call haha
Friday we were still on exchanges. That's when we found out about the announcement from the first presidency. Wow. Crazy. Hermana Escobar: this was the best day on my mission.
Haha so cute we were all so excited!!!
I spent the rest of the day contacting with sis walker and tuunifu - we met a lot of people, set up return appointments and also I had to file on old lady's nails and take off nail polish from her nasty toenails. It was part of our service. Super gross. I wanted to burn off my hands it was so gross.
Before we drove home we stopped at chic fil a! Hermana Escobar had never been there before - she loved it of course haha. The employee gave us like a bag full of chic fil a sauce so it was the best day of my life haha cuz now we have a bunch to use in our cooking and stuff!! Yaaay!
Also after we drove back to Sidney I had even more bad luck with cars. I got pulled over. I'll tell you that story on the video chat haha cuz it's hilarious. Anywayssss
Saturday was mostly just weekly planning and contacting. We had a lesson with a new person so that was good. Can't remember much else from that day haha
Sunday!!!! Such a great day. What did I tell you about this week being a week of miracles!
Austin and Danielle both came to church. AND we got return appointments with both of them. It was the best day of my life basically haha.
We also had a lesson with bradley about the plan of salvation and dinner with the mcmanis family. Love them.
Then we studied come follow me(: and then we did more contacting haha.
On Monday we went to... surprise surprise adopt a dog! Haha some of those dogs are not my favorite. But some of them I love a lot haha. Just depends. Then we struggled to meet with Danielle cuz she had so much going on - but we prayed and waited and got to meet with her! Which was amazing because we invited her to be baptized and she said YES!!! March 9th. Hopefully I don't get transferred haha.
Then we had dinner with grandma, she is so cute. I love her and her chocolates and her service and all her goodness (:
And then today is district pday so we've been having fun hanging out!
Anyways that's my week! Can't wait to talk to you guys at 330!!!!
Love
Sister Bush
